TNVR: The Humane Answer to Street Dog Overpopulation and Rabies
Pakistan has one of the world's largest street dog populations, and rabies remains a deadly public-health threat. The traditional response — culling — is not only cruel, it doesn't work: dog populations rebound within months. TAWF champions the method proven worldwide to actually work: Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return. To date we have performed more than 7,000 sterilizations and over 9,000 anti-rabies vaccinations.
How TNVR Works

Trap — Street dogs are humanely caught by our trained teams.

Neuter — Each dog is sterilized by our veterinarians at the Second Chance Animal Hospital.

Vaccinate — Every dog receives a rabies vaccination, protecting animals and people alike.

Return — After recovery, each dog goes back to its own territory, where it prevents new, unvaccinated dogs from moving in.
We also provide subsidized sterilization for pets, encouraging responsible ownership. Spaying prevents unwanted litters from suffering on the streets and protects females from life-threatening disease; neutering reduces fighting and injuries among males.
